Yesterday the spanish Goverment announced the new state budget and some changes in legistation. Those changes include some healthcare changes that are going to affect lots of people i know and even myself, some of those changes include having to pay for prostetics, eldery paying their medicines and inmigrants(that don't live all the time in Spain) paying for any treatment they get (except in accident or emergencys) and other changes that are going to affect eldery, those who have chronic diseases, people without jobs but with some kind of income, students (that already have problems 'cause now they have to pay from 10 to 100% of their college expenses) and those who are dependant of others to have the chance to live with some sort of dignity since health orwealth aren't by their side.

I know that for those who live in countrys without  public healthcare isn't a big deal 'cause they went through this everyday but for Spain, that for decades had a good enough public healthcare with low incomes for those who have a job its a really big isue now that Spain is struggling againts inside and outside economic problems with a high inmigration levels ('cause we are almost the doors to Europe even from romans times for our geography ) and a new goverment that its still talking about "the things the last goverment of another party left us are shit" instead of "we have a bad shity situation lets clean up things and do our best all together" , it is a big problem.

After that announcement i wrote some lines about an idea that was wandering in my head all day. I know it isn't a great text and doesn't make to much sense but its important for me to share it an know others opinions or comments about this isue.

It isn't a word-to-word translation and i'm aware that there are mistakes but i google does it even worse so..


// "A drop"

For the oldman that can forget his old rusty hip for a brief moment when he shows all his set of fake teeth after hearing with his hearing aid a innocent dirty joke from his old friend that fought for the other side at the civil war and discovered with a bullet that he was hemophiliac.

For those who are 1 in a million and knows all the doctors names from the ambulatory care center. And knows that Joan , the nurse, is affright because her celiac son was punished at school for refusing eating his bread 'cause there is a economic crisis and you musn't leave even a little piece of bread or at winter the school isn't going to have heating. And knows that the sintrom guy, Peter , got the phone number of that nice girl that looks the other side when he goes to buy his medicines , those that he was taking for the last 30 years, without the doctor's prescription 'cause she knows that without his medicine he wouldn't see tomorrow the ant carrying the leaf that took that little drop that saved her yesterday.

For those who can't hear We are the Champions when their team wins. For the parents that have to chose between the health or the Plato's book for their children school.
For those who can't see the little drop on a leaf from wich an ant is saving her life by drinking that small amount of water. For those who a prostetic its the difference between one paper cup and a cold floor on the street and winning the next olympic 100 meters race at London.

For those who say "hi" with a smile when a totally stranger who  may never know that they can't pay for tomorrows medicines to the Healthcare and yet they saw that little drop in a leaf that has made their day.

For those who say "good afternoon" with a big smile to everyone who gets in their pharmacy without even looking who is it.

For and because "we are the champions"

And for those who wonder "why did you posted this here ?" well, just 'cause i hate it when some people see Money instead of the importance of a simple drop, just for that.
